Special One backs charity auction
TOP football boss José Mourinho has become the latest in a long line of clubs, businesses and sportsmen to donate special items for a fund-raising auction in memory of Sir Bobby Robson.
The Real Madrid manager, who previously worked for Sir Bobby, has donated his prestigious 2010 World Coach of the Year trophy to Sir Bobby’s Breakthrough Auction, due to be held next month.
The trophy will be sold to the highest bidder in an online auction running from October 8 to 23 at www.sirbobbys breakthroughauction.com
A fund-raising ball will also be held at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, on October 20. Organisers hope to raise £250,000 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
