Reunion for school’s 60th

A BURY St Edmunds primary school is inviting former pupils, teachers and staff to a reunion as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations.

The Tollgate Primary School event on June 9 will give people the chance to remember and celebrate old times.

Organisers plan to have food, music and a display of old photographs.

Headteacher David Hicks said: “We’re hoping to do a memory board so we can chronicle what they remember.

“We’re also hoping we can make a few more contacts and increase our network – people who might be local and willing to help out with things. It’s a good time to celebrate how long the school’s been here and serving the community.”

The event at the school, in Tollgate Lane, starts at 7.30pm.
