Panto fun helps children’s hospices
Thetford Players hold their new year panto at the Carnegie Rooms.
CINDERELLA did get to her ball and the audiences in Thetford enjoyed every magical moment of this year’s panto.
The Thetford Players put on the seasonal treat and this year decided to give audiences a medley of panto characters within the production.
Written by members Nicola Hall, Bob Waple and Ray Kurn, the traditional story unfolded but with some extra characters from the world of Pantoland.
The cast entertained full houses last Thursday, Friday and Saturday and in Mundford on Sunday.
It was directed by Lynn Ready and produced by Bob Waple, chairman of the Players.
This year, the group is raising money for the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and aiming to raise a tonne in weight of loose change and other donations and the group has already raised £140 for the charity.
Auditions for its production of Showtime are at the Guildhall on Wednesday and the Carnegie Rooms on Thursday between 7pm and 9pm.
