SUFFERERS of lung disease can breathe a little easier after a support group opened.

The Breathe Easy Thetford group officially opened on Wednesday after receiving full accreditation from the British Lung Foundation.

The group is open to all sufferers of cystic fibrosis, chronic bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory ailments.

Group leader Anthony ‘Tiny’ Oakley welcomed Cllr Pauline Quadling, deputy mayor of Thetford, and around 40 others to the opening.

He said: “We want sufferers of any lung disease or breathing difficulties, and their carers, to come along.

“Anyone who has questions can ask me and if I don’t know the answers, I’ll direct them to someone who does.”

The group runs on the third Wednesday of every month from 1.30pm at Cloverfield Church Community Centre. For more information call 07900 670648.
