It’s in the bag for Tesco

YOUNGSTERS have been using their creative skills to help design a logo for a supermarket’s hessian bags.

Schoolchildren were invited to design a poster about the new look Tesco at St Saviour’s interchange, in Bury St Edmunds, and the top 10 are now on display in the store,

The winning design will be selected through a customer vote and the winner will be able to donate £500 to their chosen charity or organisation. They will also win themselves a £50 voucher to spend in the store.

The refurbishment at the store has included a new-look deli, bakery and fruit and vegetable area as well as a new Costa, where customers can enjoy a coffee.

Manager Andrew Doherty said: “We wanted to involve local children, customers and charities in our celebrations and the competition seemd like the perfect way to achieve that.”

The vote closes on September 30.
