A SUCCESSFUL bus service for theatre-goers has been relaunched for the latest production of a Jane Austen classic in Bury St Edmunds.

The Rural Theatrebus will provide a service to and from the Theatre Royal during its new adaptation of Mansfield Park next month.

Bosses at the theatre have re-teamed with First Stop Travel for the bus, which launched earlier this year for the popular production Stagefright.

It will run along nine routes, which reach across Suffolk and into Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

Chris Grady, head of external relations at the theatre, said: “We don’t want anyone in our wider community to miss out on enjoying a show here, so the Theatrebus is a brilliant way to bring people together, and make visiting the theatre a far less stressful experience for those who don’t have their own transport, or who don’t fancy driving home at 10pm on a dark autumn evening.”

Booking a place on the bus includes a free programme and drink at the bar.

Mansfield Park runs from September 13 to 29 and the bus service is from September 18 to 25. For further information call (01284) 769505 or visit www.theatreroyal.org
