Array of classes at show

MORE than 100 classes will be featured at a village horticultural show tomorrow.

Produce, plants in pots, cut flowers, cookery and handicrafts are among the categories represented at The Stanton Show, which will be held in the village hall. There are classes for younger members of the community including cookery and flower arrangement.

A novelty section features the longest runner bean, the heaviest potato and the rudest single vegetable.

There are about 20 cups, shields and rose bowls to be awarded.

Late entries will be accepted on the morning of the show at a charge of 30p.

The event will be open to the public from 1.30pm with a raffle and prize giving starting at 4pm.
