Bernie and Mandy Ruffles are toasting their success – after their pub was voted the best in West Suffolk for the second year running.
The Fox and Hounds, in Thurston, has been named West Suffolk Camra (Campaign for Real Ale) pub of the year.

Bernie, who has been at the pub for four years, said: "It feels pretty good. It has been a lot of hard work."

Kevin Waterson, chairman of West Suffolk Camra, said: "The pub has a great atmosphere and caters for all ages. The food is excellent.

"It has a good range of beers, ciders and foreign lagers.

It is a good traditional English pub."

The pub now goes forward to compete against two other Suffolk pubs for the county title.

If the Fox and Hounds is successful, it will compete for the title of national pub of the year.

- Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley will open this year's East Anglian Beer Festival, in Bury St Edmunds. The festival, organised by West Suffolk Camra, runs from April 23-26.
