Fix-a-Form International Ltd is hoping to tap into China's booming market from its base in Bury St Edmunds.
The firm, a sister company of Denny Brothers Printing, has signed up with a Chinese firm to manufacture its multi-page labels in the developing east.

Andrew Denny, managing director of Fix-a-Form International, said: "This is a very exciting time for us.

"China is a big growth market and we see a lot of potential development there for our product."

Fix-a-Form has appointed Win Label to make its leaflet labels under licence at factories in Dongguan City and Shanghai, producing up to 30,000,000 labels a day.

Mr Denny said he hoped the move would serve the firm's existing customers such as Nestlé and Coca Cola, who are already operating in the country.

He said: "Our approach is to try to ensure our product is available throughout the world.

"China is an up-and-coming part of the world which is going to grow and provide us with a source of revenue for the future."

The move into China follows a £500,000 investment by the company in January into an Indian licensee to export the Fix-a-form brand and machinery.

Although the international scale of the business is growing, Mr Denny said the move would be good for operations in Bury, too.

"We are proud to be based in Bury and also proud of our international reputation," he said.

"This move means job security for our workers in Bury and helps with our future growth."
