A Stowmarket businessman has been named chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing's East of England regional board.
Andrew Chalk, founder of marketing consultancy firm Outside In Marketing Ltd, replaces former chairman Mike Smith, who stepped down after four years in the role.

Mr Chalk will represent the East of England's activities, events and ideas on the national body.

Jonathan Hart, regional director for the institute, said: "Andrew's efforts will contribute to the vibrant marketing industry in this region."



LAW firm Kester Cunningham John has announced two new partners at the firm, based in Kempson Way, Bury St Edmunds.

Commercial property lawyer James Slinger and employment specialist Ross Strowger have been congratulated on their promotion by the company's managing partner, Simon Smith.

Mr Smith said: "Both James and Ross have made significant contributions to the firm's growth.

"They continually provide our clients with the first-rate service they expect from a leading East Anglian law firm."



CENTER Parcs holiday park has been voted Best Holiday Provider 2008 in the Tommy's Parent Friendly Awards.

The company, which has a site at Elveden Forest, was praised by parents in the annual awards organised by Tommy's The Baby Charity.

All villas at the park are child-friendly with a high chair and cot in each one, while special child bicycle seats and training wheels are available for toddlers.

Helen Horner, Center Parcs marketing manger, said: "These awards mean the world to us as they are voted for by parents."



Barclays Commercial Bank has launched a search for top environmentally-friendly firms.

Businesses using pioneering or sustainable technology to help beat climate change could win the title as part of Barclay's annual awards.
