A confident Bury Town FC look to extend their unbeaten run to four games when they take to the road tomorrow (Saturday).
The Blues can expect their resolve to be severely tested when they visit Maldon Town for thefirst Rymans League Division One North meeting of the two clubs this season.

The Essex club claimed six points from their two games against the Ram Meadow-based outfit, but team manager Richard Wilkins believes his side has the confidence to reverse that trend.

"We are full of confidence and are playing some very good football," he said.

"As long as we maintain the momentum we have, there is no reason why we should not get someting from the game."

Wilkins does not expect to have to make changes to the line-up that has picked up nine points from their last three outings, scoring nine goals.

"The collective spirit is there and our recent results have shown this.

"However, although we are playing well, we must remember that there is a long way to go," said the Blues' chief.

Wilkins confirmed that midfielder James Tatham had moved to Ridgeons League club Diss Town on a loan agreement between the two club.

"James needed matches and this seemed the best way to achieve that," said Wilkins.

Unfortunately, Tatham suffered a hamstring injury on his debut for the Norfolk side and has subsequently been ruled out for three to four weeks.

Walsham-le-Willows FC stopped their run of six defeats at the weekend but failed to maintain the winning habit in midweek.

After defeating King's Lynn Reserves 1-0 at home, the Summer Road-based clcub slipped up away at Norwich United on Tuesday, going down 2-0.

Team manager Paul Smith believes the main reason for the midweek defeat was that he was unable to name an unchanged line-up.

He explained, "Due to injuries, we had to change the back four and that is not what you want to be doing."

Smith continues his search for players to strengthen his squad and ensure that the newly-promoted side continue in the top flight.

"Our priority is to stay in the Premier Division and I think we need a couple of players to see us through to that aim," said Smith.

Walsham continue their bid for survival with a trip to Felixstowe & Walton Utd tomorrow.

Thetford Town FC bounced back from defeat to continue their journey in the Ridgeons League Division One KO Cup.

The Brecklanders put the disappointment of a 3-1 away league defeat against Halstead on Tuesday, to claim a 4-3 away win against Gt Yarmouth.

Team manager Simon Brooks with his players' reaction and is looking forward to further progress in the competition.

Karl Pask claimed a hat-trick and Andrew Cusack scored a fourth in 16 minutes of the first half.

" We looked to be cruising but individual defensive errors allowed Yarmouth back in the game," explained Brooks.

He is looking to his back line to eradicate the mistakes when they host FC Clacton tomorrow (ko 3pm).
