A young band have broken free from the stereotype of youngsters picking up instruments and forming a band and are hoping to spread their wings across Suffolk.
The Triggers got together when they were 14 and, two years on, they are hoping to get more of a following outside of Norwich.

After playing in Bury St Edmunds in February, they are now set to return to Banham to show people how their sound has developed.

Band members include vocalist and guitarist Felix Riley, from Norwich, bassist Joe Skinner, from Lowestoft, drummer Joe Malpas, from Norwich, and lead guitarist Jacob Read, from Norwich – now all 16.

The Triggers formed when they were at school and had good luck as they were able to record their tracks at a number of different studios which allowed them to perfect their sound.

Since then, they have had some great attention from promoters, including having one of their singles available to download from a main website along with other top groups in the area.

Felix said: "We started when we were young and have always been seen as a young band. It kind of grew and grew and we did improve.

"Since then, we have been playing around Norwich as much as possible without overdoing it, but I suppose now we want to spread out because of our age."

The Triggers, who describe their music as alternative rock with a distinctive sound, are also keen to make the most of their time together before their A-levels are over and decisions have to be made.
