One man's love of music has grown from strength to strength and his latest project is an exploration trip to Amsterdam with around 10 bands in tow.
Lee Sullivan threw his first gig as Bald Monkey Promotions on July 12, last year, and almost a year on has become one of the most prolific promoters in Bury St Edmunds.
His name has become so popular that bands are willing to travel across the sea to play together on foreign soil and music fans are eager to follow.
Lee said the idea of a gig in Amsterdam came from his love
for the country.
He decided to put on a gig night for Bury-based band Thee Vicars, which he manages, and before long bands were queuing up to join in.
A total of 10 bands have been confirmed for the gig, which is sponsored by The Gaff, in Bury.
Lee said: "I think maybe 30 people from Bury will come, but there's quite a few people coming from Cambridge and Haverhill, so we are taking the crowd over with us.
"It should be good as Amsterdam is a completely different atmosphere – it's unreal. It will be a trip to remember or forget, depending on what people get up to."
There will be two nights of music held on August 1 and 2 in two venues – Winstons and Bitterzoet.
Bands should include Luken Layer, The Scarletts, Luv Dump, Thee Vicars, Bijoumiyo, Umbrella Assassins, Edelweiss Pirates, The Hope, The Retronics and Ten City Nation.
Tickets cost £10 and are available from
