With a new singer under their belts, an indie/rock band have begun recording songs for their forthcoming album.
Eight Days Till Summer are hoping to entice people to Sudbury next week to hear some of their original tracks at the Pied Cow.
Brothers Tim Wallace, who plays drums, and James Wallace, who plays guitar and backing vocals, have been performing together for more than 10 years.
They taught an old friend Phil Moreton to play the bass for the band and have been together ever since.
Around two years ago, they created their latest band – Eight Days Till Summer – and recently got a new singer Gavin Martin, who has brought new influences to their music.
James said: "We were very basic when we started off and since then we have progressed. We are trying to push it as far as we can.
"We are never going to be a cover band as we just want to do something that people enjoy for what it is. We get some people coming to our shows and they love it."
The band members, who are aged between 27 and 29, are from different areas including Long Melford, Ipswich, Great Cornard and Colchester.
Each brings something new to the group, creating a unique sound, which is often very different from what songwriters James and Tim initially intended.
They already have an EP available through their MySpace site and have just begun recording more of their tracks to put on an album to be released later this year.
