As breaking into the music scene in Bury St Edmunds gets increasingly difficult, one man has set his sights on giving people the opportunities they deserve.
Lee Sullivan, 33, has been a DJ since his teens and used to put on random nights for people to enjoy.
But last summer, he got together with a friend to put on a gig for Bury band Franks Tanks and he has been putting on a regular night at Studio 3, in Station Hill, ever since called Plug It In!
Lee, who is from Bury, said: "It has just snowballed. I'm really chuffed about how it is going because people are still coming and they are talking about it.
"I love standing in the venue about 11 o'clock at night and seeing at least 100 people. I get to see all my favourite bands as well."
On a good night at Plug It In! Lee can have around 200 people in the venue, but he said there have been a couple of nights which have flopped.
Lee described Bury as a hard town for a number of reasons as there are only a few venues left that have live bands on and people are less willing to travel out of the town centre to go to gigs.
In order to make it slightly easier, he has set up the Bury Beet Collective (BBC) to try to bring together Bury bands and DJs under one roof to promote them.
But his enthusiasm does not stop there as Lee is also the manager of a few Bury-based bands, including Thee Vicars and Opposite the Hotel.
Thee Vicars, who played with Revenue last month, impressed them so much they have asked them to support them on tour.
Lee also DJs at The Gaff, in Tayfen Road, on the first Saturday of every month, but his tastes have changed over the years, broadening from hip hop and house to more or less anything.
